Hanbat Arboretum

The Hanbat Arboretum is the largest man-made urban arboretum, which was established to act as a reservoir for the genetically diverse foliage, an ecolearning center for students, and a recreational area where people can relax and spend time in the peaceful embrace of nature. It consists of Seowon (West Garden, located north of the Daejeon Museum of Art). the Tropical Botanical Garden, and Dongwon (East Garden, located north of Pyeongsong Youth Cultural Center). The latter is comprised of 19 uniquely themed parts, such as the Magnolia Garden, Medicinal Herbs Garden, Rock Garden, Fruit Garden, etc.
